recording-editWhile I was a graduate student, I made a series of trips to Tanzania, Kenya, and Mozambique to do field work. In the process of examining speciation and song evolution in a species complex of sky island sunbirds, I made opportunistic sound recordings of a large diversity of (primarily forest) birds and the occasional group of schoolchildren. Most of these recordings have been catalogued, and will be accessioned in the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology’s sound recording collection at UC Berkeley. If you are interested in the sounds of eastern African birds and are seeking a particular species/population, please contact me.
