range expansion and genetic variation in coralsnakes

Posted on Jun 14, 2016

Excited to announce that my work with Jeff Streicher and colleagues on genetic variation in Micrurus coralsnakes has come out in Evolution. Part of the manuscript explains how a genetic surfing hypothesis best explains how variation in mtDNA became spatially sorted in the northern part of Micrurus tener’s range in the southern US: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/evo.12967/abstract

Edit: This ms got the cover treatment from Evolution! Congrats to Jeff Streicher and colleagues! http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/evo.2016.70.issue-7/issuetoc
